The scouts learned about the gear and methods used for Fire safety. They got to try to handle some of the gear, and found out just how heavy it really is. Capt Jerry Redmond donned the Breathing apparatus to show the scouts what it looks like and emphasis they have no reason to fear a firefighter in an emergency.
